As all of you have noticed, I have got a new icon. YAY! What most of you will not know is that the character in the icon is from a game called Furcadia. I have been a member of this game for a while. I absolutely love it. The problem is, with the economy being down, this game is hurting.
Here's the basics of Furcadia:
When you download the game, you are actually downloading MANY programs. At first, these programs seem useless...unless you understand how Furcadia works. There are currently 10 "main maps". That may not seem like much, but Furcadia is based entirely on user content. There are, at any time, over 600 maps (in Furcadia, they are called dreams) you can go to and explore. Some are basic, others may be giant carnivals that entirely run themselves!
To make your own dream, you use the Dream Editor. It comes with 1,384 default items you can use to put together your own map. It may like like a lot, but it will not have every thing you would like for it to contain. To make your own items, you use the FSH editor.
The FSH editor is like MS Paint, but you can directly place the items in your dream. You can also use the FSH editor to change the appearance of the Furcadia client (the program used to play Furcadia) when furres (the name of the players) enter your dream, you can make your own characters for players to play as, you can make your own floors (Furcadia has 233 default floors), make your own walls (again, there are 83 default walls), and make your own buttons for use in your dream.
Every dream in Furcadia uses a type of code called DragonSpeak. It is a very basic code to understand, and you can make ANYTHING with it. An example code is:
"(0:9) When a furre arrives in the dream,
(5:15) move the triggering furre to (25,20), or to someplace nearby if it's occupied."
Furcadia is the perfect place to go for ANY interest. It has places to socialize, places to roleplay, and places to play games! It's the perfect outlet for any artist!
You can even make a profit from selling your art on Furcadia! After you get money, you can buy from the Digo Market! There's everything from fireworks that you can set off in the game to dragons! That's how I got my "leonen" (the lion character).

Pretty much, there's been nothing but procrastination on this side of the internet. xD I have a report for gym due on Monday that I still haven't worked on, and I've got a dream in Furcadia that needs to be finished, which I completely deleted and restarted on because I didn't like the way it came out. :/
